EppaSangriaWe told you about Eppa SuperFruit Sangria a few months ago and since then the fruity wine has become even more popular. We were lucky enough to score a bottle to try it out.

At first glance, we loved Eppa. The bright, colorful bottle reminded us of summer, which can’t come soon enough. Not to mention the convenient twist off cap, which makes it easy to take with you on the go.

We were a little surprised when we tasted it though. For a sangria all about the super fruits, Eppa wasn’t as sweet as we expected. Instead of the classic citrus blend, the sangria is made with pomegranate, blood orange, acai and blueberries. The first sip was tangy with a strong red wine taste. The fruit flavor was there but not as prominent as we would have liked. Easily fixed with a few slices of fresh fruit.

The 8.5% ABV is a little low for us, but for $11.99 a bottle we’d be willing to spend the money (as long as we didn’t have time to make our own). Eppa might not be the best sangria we’ve ever tried – but for bottled, it isn’t bad.

Oh yeah, and P.S. they’re launching a white wine sangria next month. Naturally, we’ll have to give it a try.

Have you ever tried Eppa SuperFruit Sangria, if so, what do you think?
