picstitchAbsolut (as usual) has thrown us a curveball. The brand announced this week they will be releasing an oak aged vodka this spring. Aged vodka? That’s right. Absolut Amber has been aged for a minimum of six months with eight different varieties of wood. We’re a bit skeptical of how this will actually taste, so we’ll need to try it before we draw any conclusions. The 40% ABV vodka will be available this April in the U.S.

We love homebrews and coconut beer. That’s why we’re pumped about the latest announcement from Stone Brewing Co. Their new collaboration will be a Coconut IPA, created by Ryan Reschan and Robert Masterson, the winners of their annual American Homebrewers Association Rally. We’ll be looking for it this summer.

Malibu is all about ready-to-drink. The rum brand announced their Malibu Cans cocktails will be coming to the U.S. this spring. The 5% ABV cans will be available in Pineapple, Cranberry and Cola flavors. In addition to the cans, they are also adding Blue Hawaiian and Pina Colada Light to their famous premixed cocktail pouches.

It’s almost baseball season, which means one thing: beer. And the Colorado Rockies are getting a special treat from Blue Moon Brewing Co. The brewery is creating a limited edition amber ale in honor of the 20th anniversary of the team. The beer will only be served at Coors Field though… Rockies game anyone?
