First of all, you’re reading about this on “Drinking In America” so clearly we’re a little biased. We’re cool with you drinking whenever you want (just make sure to stay safe.) Since we’re your resource for all things boozy, we figured we should tackle the Monday-drinking debate.
Reasons you shouldn’t drink on a Monday:
• You don’t want to be hung-over on Tuesday
Reasons you should drink on a Monday:
• Monday’s suck – grabbing drinks with friends will make it more bearable
• Drink specials – bars have cheap drinks on Monday’s since they don’t have huge crowds
• A glass of wine is always ok with dinner, no matter what day of the week
The way we see it, just make sure not to go overboard, and have a drink.
What do you think?
Sunday through Wednesday drinking avoids the crowds, allows you to get seats at the bar, gains bartenders ear for longer, bartenders seem happier and less harried, etc.
Unless you’re there to meet new people, why bother going out on Fridays or Saturdays?
We totally agree. Lets go to the bar. -DIA
