Why struggle with what to bring to a housewarming party, birthday celebration, or neighborhood cook-out? Bring beer. Beer is better than everything these days thanks to inventive craft beer breweries throughout the U.S.

The great thing about craft beer is that, because they are regional in nature, many come with a story: “I had this beer for the first time when I was fishing in Oregon.” Or, “This is only beer we drank on our summer vacation.”

This being national Craft Beer Week, what better time to pull together a short list (you can find the whole list at thefullpint.com) of the lesser-known bottle caps out there with a small swell of fans behind them.

And with such artful labels, they’re wrapped and ready to go:

Bootlegger’s Knuckle Sandwich DIPA (Fullerton, CA)

Abita Save our Shores (Abita Springs, LA)

The Bruery Oude Tart (Orange County, CA)

Peace Tree Double (Knoxville, IA) — if you can find it

Lukcy Basartd Ale (Escondido, CA) — may be VERY hard to find

Who Knew? Many craft beers are non-pasteurized, so they need to stay refrigerated for optimal taste.
