Napa Valley’s Raymond Vineyards has unveiled a new wine brand, Frenchie, named after the French bulldog owned by Raymond proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset.
Is that not the ultimate luxury — having your pooch’s puss gracing bottles on dinner tables everywhere?
Then we got to thinking…. What other drinks are named after dogs?
There’s:
The Salty Dog (vodka, grapefruit juice, in a glass with a salty rim)
The Greyhound (vodka and grapefruit juice)
The Chihuahua (learn how to make here)
Then, there are a whole menu of dogged-out names at California’s Fat Dog café, like the Tailwagger and the Irish Wolfhound.
Do you have a dog-named drink up your sleeve? Share it and you could win your pup a t-shirt (it’s really for people, but we know you dog people just can’t help yourselves). Ruff.
Pomerian Cocktail: 2oz white rum, 1oz pomegranate juice, 1/2 oz Triple Sec, 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1/4 oz grapefruit juice.
Add all ingredients to shaker filled with ice. Shake, strain into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with orange wheel or lemon twist. Makes 1 drink!!
