corpse revivers

When it comes to brunch cocktails many of us get caught up in the same routine. Maybe you order a Bloody Mary, a Mimosa, or you go for a Bellini.  We already told you that gin isn’t getting its fair share of credit from men, so here is a classic gin brunch cocktail you probably haven’t considered.

Dating all the way back to 19th century London, the corpse reviver #2 has been assisting hangovers for years in the UK. A well-balanced cocktail that comes from our bartending forefathers, a corpse reviver #2 will definitely get you back on your feet. If you order one of these at a local speakeasy, we guarantee you’ll look cool.

A simple recipe, all you need is:

  • 1 ½ ounce gin
  • ¾ ounce Lillet Blanc
  • ¾ ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ¾ ounce Orange Curacao
  • Absinthe rinse

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass that has been rinsed with absinthe. Garnish with a stemless cherry.
