A Mexican holiday celebrated by enthusiastic Americans nationwide. Here are 4 recipes (we thought 5 would be cliche) to get you thinking about Thursday’s festivities:
White Peach Paloma
– 1 part Premium Tequila
– ¾ part Hiram Walker White Peach Schnapps
– 2 parts Fresh Sour Mix*
– 2 parts Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
* Fresh Sour Mix made by combining 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 1 cup fresh lime juice, 2 cups simple syrup in a pan to a boil and then left to chill
Oaxacan Punch
– 37.5 oz Averna Amaro
– 22.5 oz Sombra Mezcal
– 15 oz Grapefruit juice
– 15 oz Lemon juice
– 7.5 oz Agave nectar
– 45 oz Ginger beer
– 7.5 oz cold water
– Garnish with grapefruit and lemon slices
Strawberry Margarita Popsicles
(the Corona Popsicles we posted last week would be fitting as well)
– Dixie Cups, Popsicle sticks & Mike’s Hard Lemonade Strawberry Margarita
– Pour and freeze the Strawberry Margarita for two hours then insert the popsicle sticks in the middle
– Freeze for another two hours or until the Strawberry Margarita Popsicles solidify
Tomato Michelada
– 3 oz tomato or clamato juice
– 4-5 drops Tabasco sauce
– 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
– 1 bottle Corona
– Juice of one lime, salt, pinch of red pepper flakes
– Ice cubes
