Our drinking friend, @warrenbobrow1 (pictured above) introduced us to ROOT a while back. What exactly is ROOT you ask? It’s alcoholic Root Tea, not to be confused with a Root Beer flavored vodka or a sickly sweet liqueur (learn more in the video below). It has seen much success nationwide ever since William Grant bought the portfolio last June.

To kick-off spring, Bobrow sent along an exclusive. It’s an interpretation of the classic Zombie cocktail using St. Germain. Bobrow says, “It’s quite tasty – especially if you take the time to prepare all the ingredients with reverence.”

The Spring Sashay

Coconut water ice (yes, just put coconut water in your ice-cube tray)

Fresh mint

Bitter End Mexican Mole Bitters

1 lime

1 shot  of St. Germain

2 shots of Denizen Rum

1 Shot ROOT

Q-Tonic water

Combine liquors in a cocktail shaker filled with the coconut water ice

Add juice of one lime and the Mexican Mole Bitters

Shake and strain over fresh coconut water ice, top with Q-Tonic water

Not familiar with ROOT? Cheers to learning…
