If you’ve found you don’t have enough time to get her the perfect gift, why not trade out flowers for a special cocktail at her Mother’s Day brunch? Here are some recipes that are bound to get you inspired.

Elderflower and Loquat Daiquiri
Ingredients (makes 1)
3 to 6 loquats, depending on size
½ ounce fresh lime juice
2 dashes orange bitters
¾ ounce elderflower liqueur (such as St. Germain)
2 ounces white rum
Small loquat, for garnish

Directions
Cut loquats in half, remove seeds. Muddle the loquat halves and lime juice in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add bitters, elderflower liqueur, and rum. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass. To garnish, cut a small slit into the loquat and perch on the rim of the glass.

Want to make this cocktail fizzy? Strain the cocktail into an ice-filled highball glass and top with club soda.

Strawberry Rose Gin Fizz
Ingredients (makes 2)
6 strawberries
2 teaspoons sugar
4 shots gin
1 teaspoon rose water
Pinch of salt
½ cup club soda

Directions
Wash and de-stem strawberries. Dice them into small pieces. Sprinkle sugar over the top of the strawberries and let sit for 5 minutes and then mash them with a fork to release their juices. Fill cocktail shaker with ice, strawberry mixture, gin, rose water, and pinch of salt. Shake and then divide among glasses. Top each glass with club soda and a squeeze of lime juice into each glass.
