The 2011 State of the Union address takes place tomorrow night. For some it will be painful to watch and for others an enjoyable evening. Either way a drinking game will enhance the viewing experience.
Will Durst of the Huffington Post created this drinking game and the rules are pretty funny. Our favorite: “Whenever the president defends ObamaCare, everybody drinks 2 shots of beer. If he mentions Congress voting to repeal it, drink a whole beer and throw hot dogs at the television. The first person to hit Nancy Pelosi in the head is exempt from having to drink 2 shots of bourbon.”
So, grab your fellow taxpaying friends, some booze and enjoy.

Great game. But a better one is, “Shut and Sip.” As soon as the President appears in the House doors, “Shut” the TV off, take your drink into another room, and quietly “Sip” your drink for the 90 minutes. It will be enjoyable, you will have no interuptions and you won’t have to listen to someone with bloated self importance speak for 90 mins. And if you turn the TV on after the 90 mins and the speech is over, “You Win.”
