SpilledWine

Unless you live in the 415 area code, you were unaffected by the happenings early Sunday night. A massive 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the San Francisco area damaging homes, local areas and several vineyards in Napa Valley. And now, just a few days later, several vineyards are searching for a way to pick up the pieces.

Post earthquake, broken bottles and spilled wine flooded Napa’s vineyards ruining some of the best harvests the world has to offer. After assessing the damage, the most damage took place in vineyard rooms filled with vintage, reserve and aging bottles. Seriously mother nature, screw you. But we digress. It’s only the beginning of harvesting season so growing grapes should be relatively in the clear but we’re interested and anxious to see how the earthquake affected this year’s growth.
