Finding new and different things to do with your girlfriends can get a little challenging sometimes. And what about those friends that love to invite you to get coffee when you’d rather go out for drinks? Or when you both want to get drinks, but you don’t want to sit at a bar with sketchy dudes while you try to catch up?

Don’t worry, Starbucks has you covered.

They have been rolling out a new program called “Starbucks Evenings” in select U.S. locations. Starting at 4 PM, you can go to your local shop and order wine, beer, small savory plates and desserts. They will also have their full normal menu available, so if you’re with a friend that would rather have coffee, they still have that option. There are no waiters or anything, so you just order like usual with the barista and then they call you when your order is ready. It creates an easy, casual way to enjoy good drinks and food in a chill atmosphere.

Their small food plate menu looks totally amazing – a far cry from the usual muffins and scones. It’s got things like truffle macaroni and cheese, artichoke and goat cheese flat bread, a blue brie cheese plate, chocolate fondue, parmesan crusted chicken skewers and warmed rosemary and brown sugar cashews.

Their wine and beer menu varies by location, but some wine choices we’ve seen are:

• Prosecco, Villa Sandi “il Fresco”
• Riesling, Chateau Ste. Michelle
• Pinot Grigio, Santa Cristina
• Brachetto, Rosa Regale
• Pinot Noir, Sanford Flor de Campo
• Cabernet Sauvignon, Louis M Martini

Right now it’s only happening around Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland and Washington D.C., but we’re hoping it will catch on and move to more cities as well.
