Meet alcohol flavored popcorn, your new best friend. There are two brands you need to know about:
Pub-Corn is, unfortunately, non-alcoholic (kinda loses the appeal), but it pairs nicely with a real alcoholic beverage. You can order it online and it comes in three flavors: Beer, Irish Crème and Piña Colada (p.s. Happy National Piña Colada day). Populence is the second brand and it’s a bit classier. They offer some interesting artisanal flavors, but the one that caught our eye is the Sauvignon Blanc Kettle. They joined forces with New Zealand winemaker Kim Crawford and incorporated the Sauvignon Blanc into their recipe. The candied popcorn’s final flavor is bright and zesty and pairs well with the wine. Bonus: the popcorn is made with organic, non-GMO popcorn kernels. Populence also sells a Pinot Noir infused chocolate drizzle, but because of the summer heat, it’s only available in their store (yes, there is a store).
