If you’re looking to indulge in some UK–inspired drinks for the upcoming Olympic games, look no further than England’s most popular drink: tea.
To some, tea and gin may seem like an unusual mix but with a little guidance we were able to find some great tea and gin summer drinks that got us in the Olympic mood. And for those unaware, Beefeater bottles a successful tea botanical gin called “Beefeater 24”.
Gin and tea cocktail recipes are readily available but here a few easy recipes for a hot summer day:
Passion fruit Iced Tea

– 2 parts dry gin
– 3 parts English Breakfast tea (chilled)
– .5 parts passion fruit syrup
Pour all ingredients into a glass over ice. Squeeze lime wedge into glass and discard. Stir and garnish with a lime wheel.
Surgeons’ Punch

– 2 parts dry gin
– 1 part lime juice
– 1 part sugar syrup
– .5 parts lime sherbet
– 3 parts green tea (chilled)
– 1 dash angostura bitters
Pour all ingredients over ice in glass and mix. Garnish with edge of lime.
