GrapefruitandStrawberryCocktail-1With spring approaching, many brands have begun releasing grapefruit-flavored booze. From Svedka’s Grapefruit Jalapeño infused vodka to UV’s Ruby Red Grapefruit vodka, there are many liquor options available for you to create a flavorful citrus cocktail. So let’s pretend that there aren’t six more weeks of winter and prepare a tangy treat (or two).

Here are some of our favorite grapefruit-flavored spirits we suggest using in the recommended recipes:

  • UV Ruby Red Grapefruit
  • Absolut Ruby Red
  • Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit
  • Svedka Grapefruit Jalapeño
  • Belvedere Pink Grapefruit

Ruby Red and Rosemary Honey Cocktail (1 serving)

  • 2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1.5 oz. grapefruit-infused vodka of your choice
  • ½ of a lemon, juiced
  • ¼ to ½ oz. honey simple syrup
  • 2 in. sprig of rosemary
  • dash of sea salt

(for honey simple syrup)

  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup water

Make the honey simple syrup by pouring the honey and water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until honey and water is well mixed and honey is fully blended. Remove from heat and set aside.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in grapefruit juice, vodka, lemon juice and honey simple syrup. Toss in a sprig of rosemary and a dash of salt. Shake thoroughly until concoction is chilled. Strain into a glass and then garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Grapefruit Strawberry Collins (1 serving)

  • 1 large strawberry
  • ¾ oz. simple syrup
  • 5/8 oz. lemon juice
  • 2 oz. grapefruit juice
  • 1.1 oz. grapefruit-infused vodka of your choice
  • dash of club soda

Muddle the strawberry in a cocktail shaker, and then add the rest of the ingredients except the club soda. Fill the shaker with ice and shake for at least 20 seconds. If desired, rim your glass with sugar before filling it with ice. Pour mixture into your glass and add the dash of club soda and stir. Garnish with a slice of lemon, grapefruit or strawberry.

Spicy Pink Grapefruit Martini (1 serving)

  • 3.5 oz. pink grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz. lemon juice
  • ½ oz. orange liqueur
  • 2 oz. Svedka Grapefruit Jalapeño vodka
  • Grapefruit wedge (optional)

In an ice filled cocktail shaker, mix all ingredients together. Then, strain combination into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
