Only one month a year it is appropriate to drink what is essentially a full glass of cream. Unless, of course, you are one of those metabolizers who burns the calories you just consumed in the following half-hour (if this is you – this could be your drink all year round). For all the regular people out there – let’s take full advantage. It’s National Eggnog Month!

For a cozy night in or a family holiday party gone wild – celebrate with one of these Eggnog based cocktails. Need some inspo? Keep reading!

Foggy Dew

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
1 ounce rum
1 ounce Pedro Ximénez sherry
1 1/2 ounces chilled half-and-half
1/2 ounce vanilla Simple Syrup
1 large egg
Ice
Pinch of grated nutmeg

Directions:
Combine all liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and mix vigorously. Add ice and mix again. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or mug and garnish with nutmeg.

Irish Flip 

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
1 large egg
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
1 ounce half-and-half
Ice
Pinch of grated nutmeg

Directions:
Combine all liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and mix vigorously. Add ice and mix again. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or mug and garnish with nutmeg.
