blueberrylemonade

The ultimate summer drink but with booze? You don’t have to ask us twice. We’re the first to admit that we’re not ready to accept that the final days of summer are upon us. Thankfully, we have National Lemonade Day to keep the dream alive. There’s no better way to celebrate what few warm weather days we have left than with lemonade cocktails. Our go-to is this boozy blueberry lemonade. This recipe is light and refreshing plus, it’s easy to make but still looks fancy enough that your drinking buddies will be impressed. We recommend you pull out all the stops and nothing says summer like mason jars so if you’ve got ‘um, flaunt ‘um.

You’ll need:
1 cup fresh lemon juice
2/3 cup superfine sugar
2 pints blueberries, pureed and strained
1/2 cup St Germain
2 cups sparkling wine
ice & garnish: fresh blueberries

Combine the lemon juice, sugar and 3 cups of water until the sugar has completely dissolved. Add blueberries, Saint Germain and refrigerate. Top the combo off with sparking wine, ice and fresh blueberries. Finally, stir and serve.
