Summer has come and gone and our cocktails are making the move to fall ingredients. That means we’ll have to leave the watermelon and strawberry drinks behind us and start to embrace something more seasonal, like apples.
Rather than turn to the typical hard cider or apple and cinnamon flavored spirits, we’re going for a more creative cocktail. The Autumn Fusion cocktail was created at the T Bar at Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Make one tonight for the perfect fall evening cocktail. You’ll need:
- 1.5 oz. vodka
- .25 oz. gomme syrup (or simple syrup)
- .5 oz. lime juice
- Half of a green apple
- Thai pepper (optional)
Squeeze green apple and add juice to a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake. Garnish with a Thai pepper for extra spice and a slice of green apple.
How will you be experimenting with apples in your cocktails this fall?
