Sweet, sweet vengeance is what we’re hearing from Brewery Ommegang with their latest announcement. Known for their signature Game of Thrones inspired beers, the brewery has just unveiled the name and style of their fourth fantasy beer: a Dubbel by the name of Valar Morghulis, a nod to the Season Four mantra “all men must die.”
With the help of HBO’s Game of Thrones Facebook page, dedicated fans got to voice their opinions and vote for the name and style of beer they’d most want to pair with their Sunday night obsession. This ale was the clear winner coming in ahead of three other potential brews: Seven Kingdoms, Hand of the King, and Khal.
Valar Morghulis will officially be released in the fall and is sure to keep fans busy while they anticipate the show’s return with Season Five. It will join the ranks of other GoT beers, following Iron Throne Blonde Ale, Take the Black Stout, and Fire and Blood Red Ale. You’ll be able to enjoy this fine brew in 25.4 oz corked bottles for $8.50.
