Coronado-Berry-The-Hatchet-2Do you ever find yourself bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to talk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:

Blood Orange Double Daddy Imperial IPA

After doubling down on hops and malt, and putting Double Daddy in a can, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is taking things even further with their special edition of Double Daddy IPA made with blood oranges. Dry-hopped with Amarillo, Nelson, Simcoe, and Mosaic, the aroma is all kinds of citrusy and the obvious addition of blood orange juice and pulp seals the deal. While the first batch of Blood Orange Double Daddy Imperial IPA will only be available in the Speakeasy Tap Room, this citrus flavor filled bev will be distributed widely later this spring.

Berry Hatchet Fruit Ale

Coronado Brewing Company is gearing up for summer with the release of their newest seasonal beer, Berry the Hatchet, which will now be available in bottles. Brewed with red raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries, this rose-colored ale is light and refreshing, and perfect for a hot summer day.  Berry The Hatchet will be available in 12 oz. six-packs, 22 ounce bottles, and on draft. Just in time for summer, the official release will be on May 1st in 16 states and 7 countries.

Salted Caramel Gose (Gose-uh)

Angel City Brewery is taking a stab at everyone’s favorite froyo flavor, salted caramel. Inspired by the classic elements of a German gose, a distinct salty-sour ale, Angel City Brewery is introducing the Salted Caramel Gose.  In order to capitalize on the salted caramel flavor, the beer will also have rich infusions of caramel and vanilla. So, if salted caramel is on your radar, pick up a six-pack of these. They will be for sale at the brewery’s retail store and at select craft beer stores across Los Angeles.
