“It was really awesome.” That’s what most viewers said in regards to yesterday’s eclipse, but a lot of us couldn’t say the same. Either you weren’t in the path of totality, you were stuck in a meeting, or you were like this guy and your homemade eclipse glasses just weren’t cutting it.

Either way, some of us didn’t have the most amazing, “spiritual” eclipse experience and we’re a little bitter about it. But, we’ve found great way to get over it. Here are some eclipse inspired cocktails that’ll make every day feel like an eclipse day.

Dark Side of the Sun

– 2 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
– 3/4 oz. lime juice
– 1:1 simple syrup
– 1/2 oz. Creme de Cassis

Shake tequila, lime juice and simply syrup and pour into a rocks glass over ice. Top ice with Creme de Cassis and garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.

Total Especial Eclipse

– 2 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
– 2 oz. orange juice
– 1/2 oz. charcoal lemonade
– 1 tsp. grenadine

Shake tequila and orange juice and pour into a rocks glass over ice. Mix charcoal lemonade and grenadine and slowly pour into the cocktail. Garnish with lime wedge.

Supermoon

– 1 oz. tequila
– 1/2 oz. triple sec
– 3 tbsp. of cream of coconut (such as Coco Lopez)
– Splash of fresh lime juice

Shake to mix. Strain into a tumbler with a rim as big as the supermoon (or just a regular short tumbler, Old-Fashioned glass, or martini glass). Garnish with fresh coconut flakes.

Bloody Moony

In a shaker with ice, add:
   – 1.5 oz. vodka
– 1 tsp. of horseradish
– 3-4 splashes of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tsp. celery salt
– 1 tsp. garlic salt
– 1 tsp. black pepper
– 2-3 splashes of Tabasco sauce

Shake to mix. Pour into a pinto glass (including the ice, or strain over fresh ice). Top with tomato juice. Garnish with a whole lime wedge and three skewered cocktail onions.
