Drinks_0Sometimes, you just feel the need to consume cocktails without all of the extra whatever. You could be trying to stick to a diet, or just attempting to maintain your health—we get it. Either way, these tips and tricks for healthier boozing (we know that’s kind of an oxymoron) will help you along the way:

  1. Only use fresh-squeezed or 100% fruit juice
  2. Choose seltzer over other carbonated waters
  3. Make simple syrup with honey instead of sugar
  4. Replace sugar or flavored syrups with whole fresh fruits
  5. Choose light colored alcohol over dark to lower your risk of hangover…
  6. Stick to one shot per cocktail
  7. Aim for 8 oz. sized drinks
  8. Choose nutritious ingredients (i.e. ginger, coffee, and lemon)

Classic cocktail recipes that are under 200 calories:
