In case you didn’t hear us the first time, orange wine is taking over. Even better news is that it didn’t take long for drinking lovers like us to realize that this stuff tastes pretty good with just about any fruity concoction imaginable. New brands are coming onto the market quicker than ever with pre-made mixed drinks with a base of–you guessed it–orange wine.

Tekeen, a company climbing high, was started and is run by a family of Texas that recently partnered with the Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC). This pre-made and orange wine-based cocktail contains agave nectar and other all natural flavors that makes it, as marketers are putting forth, versatile and “a perfect complement” to any occasion. Tekeen, which comes in Passion Fruit Lime, Cucumber Lime and Grapefruit flavors, is just as tasty over ice, as it is in mixed drinks. Or if it’s more your style, try taking it as a shot.

Texas is either very thirsty for pre-made cocktails, too lazy to make their own or the smartest state on the planet. We’ll go with the latter. Yet another new company of Texas decent, BeatBox Beverage, came into picture after Mark Cuban invested 1 million in exchange for a third of their company on an episode of Shark Tank.  On the exterior the product appears to be a rad, old-fashioned, but never-the-less card board beat box. However, we all know that its the inside that really matters. BeatBox is made with 22 proof orange wine and comes in flavors like Blue Razzberry Lemonade, Cranberry Limeade, Box A’Rita, and Texas Sweet Tea.  And like music to our ears, figuratively and literally– if you can figure out how to play a CD with a card board box– BeatBox is party-sized. No, seven bottles in one bag is not excessive.

Jump on the orange-wine wagon and see what all the fuss is all about anyway. It might just be your new go-to this summer.
