6 Songs You Need to Add to Your Pregame Playlist

Featured Story / October 10, 2017 / No Comments.

If you want to get to know someone, you have to ask questions. That’s why we, here at DIA, love to get into our readers minds via monthly polls. Not a in a creepy way, more in like “we don’t know you but we know that if we did we would be best friends,” kind of way. We genuinely want to get to know you all better!

We’ve asked you what your favorite cocktail garnish is, what your favorite drinking holiday is, which celeb you’d what to grab a drink with and our most popular poll, what kind of music do you like to listen to while pregaming? Most of you answered with rap/hip-hop, pop and America’s Top 50. Traditional Polka music didn’t seem to make the cut, but we’re telling ourselves it probably just wasn’t its year.

Because we’ve done our part by extensively probing you with drinking musical taste, we feel that we have a pretty good idea of what songs would pair well with your drink before a night out on the town. Bacardi does too. The rum brand is known for being heavily music focused and have created a number of campaigns with notable DJ artists, including Major Lazer and Swizz Beats.

Their latest collaboration “Sound of Rum” with Major Lazer’s Jillionaire, is one that essentially has Jillionaire, AKA the Minister of Rum, responsible for music initiatives and organizing parties are the world. With a job like that, it’s safe to say that he won’t be quitting anytime soon.

giphy-3With all of their musical experience, we trust that Bacardi knows how to get the party started. Here are six (Bacardi and DIA approved) songs to listen to at your next pregame:

  1. When You Hear the Bassline – Major Lazer
  2. Slippery (Ft. Gucci Mane) – Migos
  3. Don’t Let Me Down – The Chainsmokers
  4. To The Max – DJ Khaled
  5. My Love (Ft. Major Lazer, WizKid, & Dua Lipa) – Wale
  6. Tonight (Ft. WizKid) – R2Bees

How Do You Pregame?

Our Stories / September 27, 2012 / No Comments.

Ever have a couple drinks before hitting the bars? We think it makes sense (only for some – don’t forget to be responsible) for a couple reasons. It saves you money because you can order less drinks at the bar. It also gives you a good excuse to have people over and get friends together. Even though you’ll be out with all of your buddies soon enough… its fun to see people without the crazy crowds and before you need to play wingman for your best friend.

So we want to know, do you have any pregame rituals? What do you usually pregame with? Don’t forget to take our pregame poll to your right.
