Featured Story / December 19, 2015 / No Comments.

giphyNothing brings the family together like the holidays and a gulp or two of liquor. Still stumped on what to get someone on your list? We’ve got a few ideas for you based solely on what they prefer in their glass:

Have you ever walked into a liquor store feeling like a kid in a candy shop who’s only allowed to buy one candy bar out of all the delicious delicacies? So have we, and we admit, choosing just one bottle of booze out of many is a difficult fate—especially when you’re looking to purchase a present. Sometimes, you just don’t know the person well enough to buy an expensive bottle, or you’re just plain broke. Either way, save yourself the trouble by putting together a simple mini liquor bottle stocking stuffer; they will be the saviors of your holiday gifting season.

Mason Jar Cocktail Kits – Grab a mason jar, some ribbon, a 7.5 oz. can of soda and a mini bottle of whatever liquor pairs well and voila! You’re all set.

Mini Bottle Bouquet – Forget the flowers; make this DIY mini liquor bottle bouquet instead. It looks great and it gives the gift receiver an opportunity to taste a variety of spirits.

Carry on Cocktail Case – Know someone who travels a lot? Save them from spending $10 on an airplane cocktail with this retro (and incredibly useful) carry on gift.

Grown up Hot Cocoa – The ideal winter gift. What says “I care” more than hot chocolate mix, a mini Baileys Irish Cream bottle, and marshmallows all packed into a mug? Pretty much nothing.

Hangover Helper – This kit is perfect for the partier in your life. Help them ease their hangover with a perfectly portioned Bloody Mary.

WhiskeyElementsThanks to creative minds at work around the country, drinking is getting better and easier every day. Here are a few of our favorite new drinking toys that you won’t regret giving a try:

Wink – It’s a glass fountain pen that lets you write with wine, beer, really anything that stains. It’s quite romantic. Fill it up and knock out a few love letters.

Nipyata – They’re piñatas full of nips, because candy is for squares. Never party without one.

Whiskey Elements: (Pictured) They’re magical wooden sticks that make cheap whiskey taste good. Leave one in your bottle for a day and drink like a rich guy.

Fizzics– Another genius device that makes your beer taste better. It gives a perfect pour and let’s you drink the beer just as the brewers intended.

Last Minute Shopping Playbook

Featured Story / December 24, 2014 / No Comments.

Christmas is tomorrow, and you need to grab a few last minute stocking stuffers before Santa feeds his reindeer their pre-game snack.

But what do you get? Here’s your Christmas Eve Stocking Stuffer Playbook:

Keep it simple.

Now is not the time for personal gifts. People like food. People like alcohol. You can’t go wrong if you keep those basic human needs in mind.

Keep it small.

Whether it’s a collection of nips or a gift card to CVS, your small offering will be welcome with open arms. Bigger isn’t always better, unless you’re buying a bottle of alcohol in which case you can ignore this piece of advice. If the bottle is big enough, they’ll be more likely to share.

Shop with a purpose.

You don’t have time to browse or compare prices. You lost that privilege when you waited until December 24th to buy your gifts. Get in, get out, get home to drink a beer. Go to stores that you know have what you’re looking for. One stop shopping is a must.

With any luck, your loved ones won’t realize that their presents still have that fresh-from-the-store smell on them.
