Brooklyn-based cocktail bitters specialists Bittermens are set to introduce New Orleans Coffee Liqueur at the Tales of the Cocktail event in New Orleans July 25-29. Billed as a not-too-sweet rendition of coffee liqueur, the new offering is made from coffee beans specifically roasted for Bittermens, and accented with roasted French chicory, organic cacao and vanilla. New Orleans Coffee Liqueur will be available in Louisiana and New York immediately following Tales of the Cocktail, with other markets to follow.

Frïs vodka is going to be relaunched will add three new flavors. Frïs’s revamp includes a new bottle design and a reformulation of the liquid. New flavors — Orange Freeze and Citrus Freeze — will be added in September, with Whipped Freeze to appear in 2013.

Jack’s Abby Brewing is marking its first anniversary with the release of three new specialty labels — Peanut Butter Smoke & Dagger, Ginger & Juice and Brett Biere de Garde. Peanut Butter Smoke & Dagger is a twist on the brewery’s year-round Smoke & Dagger offering, which is a dark black beer similar to a schwarzbier or smoked porter. Ginger & Juice, meanwhile, is described as a ginger India pale lager with grapefruit, and Brett Biere de Garde is a biere de garde aged in white wine barrels with Brettanomyces wild yeast. The trio joins Jack’s Abby’s other year-round brews, Jabby Brau and Hoponius Union, as well as current seasonals Red Tape Lager, Leisure Time Lager and Maibock Hurts Like Helles. Jack’s Abby offerings are currently distributed in Massachusetts by Arborway Imports.

Party Star Jel Shots are now available in a 25-ml. size, for “single bite” consumption. The company has also released a two-pack of 25-ml. shots ($1.99), as well as a 30-shot bar tray. The Jel Shots are currently available in Blueberry, Grape, Green Apple, Strawberry, Cherry, Orange and Lemon-Lime, with new flavors slated for the fourth quarter of this year.
