Bourbon_Classic_Louisville

This is a weird time of year, isn’t it? There’s really nothing to look forward to aside from the Super Bowl and St. Patrick’s Day, the weather (in most parts of the country) sucks, and our pants aren’t really fitting like they were before the holiday season.

Our quick fix? Get out of dodge and take a last minute trip to the Bourbon Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. Book the tickets, do it now.

The Bourbon Classic is January 31 – February 1 at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts and it’s like heaven for the bourbon enthusiast. Don’t like bourbon? Too bad. It was officially named as “America’s Native Spirit,” so if you don’t like it, that basically like saying you hate America. Don’t be that guy.

Anyway, we digress. The Bourbon Classic is in its second year and it’s goal is to explore the best of the best in the world of bourbon – from the craftsmanship of distilling, to the pure enjoyment of the spirit in its many forms. They say that highlights of the agenda include:

  • Bourbon Classic cocktail challenge featuring chefs and bartenders from across the country
  • Bourbon special interest tours
  • Bourbon Classic University educational sessions
  • The Ultimate Bourbon Experience, featuring bourbon related products and tastings from distillers, chefs, and hundreds of vendors

About 750 people came last year for the inaugural Bourbon Classic, so you can probably bet there will be even more this year. Attendees tend to fall in to one of two different categories: 1) the bourbon expert who finds value in the legacy, quality, and prestige that is embodied in this spirit. Or, 2) the bourbon enthusiast who is newly discovering bourbon as a “hip liquor of choice.” Disclaimer: that wording is from their website, but we’ll go with it.

Ready to get your tickets? Buy them through the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts website, or call toll-free at 800-775-7777.
