Whiskey has taken over the top selling liquor and one of the reasons is its popularity with millennials. Most millennials these days are opting out of big brands and the stuff their parents drank. Craft distilleries, local products, and cocktail culture are all part of the whiskey craze. Instead, millennials are throwing it back to the generation before their parents, when whiskeys were crafted instead of rolled out in mass quantities. According to an article from the New York Post, millennials are saying, “We want to drink what Grandpa drank.” Even if you’re not a millennial, for smaller batch and craft distilleries, check out the whiskeys that topped the American Craft Spirits Association award list.
