The wine connoisseurs of the world truly impress us with their knowledge and discerning palettes, but let’s face it: most of us just aren’t like that.
Luckily, there’s a new website called Likelii and it has come to make all of your wine drinking dreams come true. It’s your non-judging new best friend that knows everything about wine and only cares about finding you the right bottle to imbibe in.
As soon as you go to the site, the main homepage encourages you to “just answer a few questions about your taste preferences, and we’ll show you the wines you’re Likelii to love.” Click the “Start” button and they will ask you questions like:
How do you drink your coffee or tea?
- I like it black
- Always with milk or cream
- Sweetened with sugar
- Creamy and sweet with milk and sugar
Tell us about your favorite fruits:
- All berries, all the time
- A taste of early autumn
- Give me the tropics
- Tart and tangy
What is your favorite type of cuisine?
- Asian cuisine
- French Bistro
- Steak & Potatoes
- Italian & pasta
- Seafood
- Vegan & vegetarian
Then, there is an optional question to tell them about the wine you’re already drinking. You can tell them an exact brand, or a basic type like Chardonnay.
When we answered the questions, they gave us seven different wines (all totally affordable) to choose from. You also have the option to click “refresh recommendations” if you’re not feeling the current selection. You can even buy the wines directly through their website if you’re ready to get drinking ASAP.
We love the idea of this site and hope they will add more questions as they grow so that the recommendations are even more personalized. It’s definitely a big help for people who know they like wine, but just aren’t sure what brand to drink.
