Summer is prime time for delicious, juicy peaches and because of that, August is officially National Peach Month. Peaches are a fabulous drink ingredient because they’re underused and delicious. Head to your local orchard and pick your own or go to the farmer’s market and grab a few for these amazing peach cocktails.

Grilled Peach Cocktail

Peach Cocktails

We love a good grilled cocktail. Peaches were made for the grill and when combined with bourbon, they add that perfect combination of smoky and sweet. This grilled peach cocktail recipe makes two drinks, so grab a friend…or an extra tall glass.

  • Cut a peach into 4 wedges, brush them lightly with olive oil and throw them on the grill until they’re charred
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle 2 of the grilled peach wedges, 2 tsp. sugar, 2 sprigs of fresh thyme, 2 dashes of angostura bitters, 2 tsp. meyer lemon juice and 2 oz. bourbon
  • Pour into an ice-filled glass and garnish with the two remaining peach wedges and a sprig of thyme

Raspberry Peach Prosecco Punch

peach cocktails

There’s only one good month of summer left, so if you haven’t had a cookout yet, it’s time to invite some friends over and make them a batch of raspberry peach prosecco punch.

  • Put 12 oz. frozen raspberries in a large glass pitcher
  • Top the raspberries with 2 cups chilled peach nectar and 1 bottle prosecco
  • Fill the rest of the pitcher with ice cubes, stir and serve cold

Peachy Keen Cocktail

Peach Cocktails

This Peachy Keen cocktail takes slightly more effort than normal cocktails, but the flavor of the peaches is out of this world…totally worth it.

  • Dice up 4 fresh peaches (remove the pits, duh) and put them in a pot on top of the stove
  • Combine the peaches with the juice of 2 limes, 1/4 cup water and 2 Tbsp. sugar and let that simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the fruit is soft and the liquid is syrupy
  • Pour that mixture in a blender and blend until smooth. Put the puree in the fridge to cool it completely.
  • To make your cocktail, add 3 Tbsp. of the puree with a shot of vodka in a glass and stir to combine. Add a squeeze of lime juice and top with soda water. Garnish with a slice of lime and some mint.

Yes, you will have lots of puree left. Save it and make more drinks or put it on anything you want because it’s awesome.
