It’s Saturday morning. It’s winter. It’s cold. Possibly snowing. You’re not going anywhere.

Here’s what you do…

Make some waffles, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal; basically anything you enjoy putting maple syrup on. Then add some whiskey.

Trust me. It’s awesome.

Whiskey, although often under-utilized for only P.M. consumption, is actually a wonderful addition to many morning breakfast items.

A general rule of thumb – if there’s maple syrup included, whiskey will only make it better. Whiskey and maple syrup are best friends. They go great together at almost all times and I love them both. Sometimes I just want to drink the two out of a glass and skip the pancakes. Apparently, I’m not the only one. Take the Maple Sour for example, now one of my favorites.

But let me make a public service announcement here and say that I am not condoning A.M. intoxication as seen here.

Enjoy the awesomeness of whiskey and maple syrup responsibly. And if you have a better way to spend a Saturday morning (which I doubt), let me know. I’d love to hear it.
