Hockey is back and we couldn’t be more thankful. With the days getting shorter and the air a bit colder, it’s nice to have something to unwind with at the end of the day. As the puck drops around the league, we’re here with a few drinks that pair well with some of our favorite NHL teams.
Boston Bruins: Three Wise Men
For a squad as tough as nails, this shot won’t do you any favors.
- 1/2 oz Jack Daniels
- 1/2 oz Jim Beam
- 1/2 Jose Cuervo
New York Rangers: Long Island Ice Tea
Like a Ranger’s team that hasn’t won the Stanley Cup in over 20 years, this drink won’t hesitate to knock you on your a**.
- Equal parts vodka, tequila, rum, gin and triple sec
- 1 1/2 part sweet and sour mix
- 1 part cola
Chicago Blackhawks: Adios Motherf**kers
It’s amazing that this amount of alcohol won’t send you into a coma, but the Hawks might.
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz rum
- 1/2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz Blue Curacao Liqueur
- 2 oz Sweet and Sour mix
- 2 oz 7-Up Soda
Tampa Bay Lightning: Miami Vice
Like Steven Stamkos, this drink is ice cold.
- 5 oz Bacardi 151 rum
- 1 package frozen piña colada mix
- 1 package frozen daiquiri mix
Washington Capitals: White Russian
Aaaand you’re out like a light. A tribute to Alex Ovechkin, this Russian classic doesn’t play nice.
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur
- Light cream
