I love skiing. No doubt, it’s my favorite hobby. And at many points in my life it has taken priority over many other things…job, girlfriend, etc.

It was all worth it.

I love fresh snow, ski town culture, mountain air, but almost as much as skiing itself, I love Après ski.

For those of you not familiar, “Après ski” (commonly referred to simply as “Après”), is a just fancy-pants term for post-ski boozing. It’s like happy hour, but instead of working a crappy job all day, people have been skiing and snowboarding…so…more fun.

I love everything about it. I love the goggle-tanned locals, I love the wanna-be ski bunnies, the cougars, I love the BS’ers and their stories of conquest from the day, I love wearing snow pants well into the PM, and I love pitcher after pitcher after basket of wings upon wings that land on our table.

It’s my personal heaven.

I highly recommend the experience. Next time you’re out on the mountain, skip the lodge and it’s over-priced bread bowl chili and head straight to the bar.

And if you’re a bad skier, perfect. That just means more Après for you.

See you on the hill.
