Passing up a beer for fear of gaining weight? Not anymore.

Lets call this one the Belgian Beer Diet–simply because its all you’ll want to drink once you hear about this new finding. Tim Spector, Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at King’s College London, recently blessed the world with THE DIET MYTH providing science that proves Belgian beer can not only help you stay slim, but can also help you shed a few pounds. Spector scientifically supports the phrase that your grandparents probably used to tell you–“everything in moderation”. Grandma was right.

In essence, Spector’s press release confirms that we have been doing “thin” all wrong. But, what does this mean for us? Guilt. Free. Beer. Bet you never thought you’d hear that one.

For those who are skeptical, here’s a little explanation: We need microbes, bacteria, and fungi to help us digest food.  However, modern diet, infused with unknown artificial chemicals, does not encourage such microbes to grow. A well-balanced and wide ranged diet can actually help us to slim down. Specifically, Belgian beer, garlic, coffee, leeks, and celery are foods that increase gut bacteria, and therefore absorb more nutrients and lead to proper digestion.

Now that we’ve got you craving a cold one, treat yourself to a Belgian beer and never feel guilty about sipping again.
