breast cancer awareness drinks

There’s a whole lot of pink out there right now as the nation recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Brands “go pink” not just to create awareness, but also with the intention of donating part of the proceeds to breast cancer research. This month, we’re choosing wine, beer and spirits that are donating a portion of their sales to a breast cancer-related charity and so should you. Here are a few items we’ll be picking up this October to support breast cancer awareness:

ONEHOPE Chardonnay: The amount donated to charity depends on where you purchase this (online vs. in the store), but no matter where you go, a portion will be going to breast cancer research. If you buy their “Chardonnay Trio” online, $9.00 of your purchase will go to their Fight Against Breast Cancer that supports several different breast cancer awareness charities. Plus, for every eight cases of Chardonnay ONEHope sells, they donate a free mammogram to a woman who otherwise could not afford it.

PYNK from Yards: If you live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware, you’ll be able to find this beer in your local store. It’s a raspberry tart ale and $1 from the sale of each case of pink Yards beer will go to support breast cancer research – more specifically, The Tyanna Foundation.

Mike’s Hard Pink Lemonade: Mike’s is taking things beyond October and will be donating a portion of their sales to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation all the way through December.

Chambord: Chambord has partnered up with Evite and they are encouraging women to have a “Cocktails and Cupcakes Party.” Chambord will donate $5 to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer for every guest a person invites, to reach their maximum donation of $10,000. Sounds like a great excuse to have a girl’s night in.
