Rosé is so passé. Get ready for the next big thing in the vino-loving community: blue wine.
Founded by a group of nine Spanish entrepreneurs, this revolutionary wine, called Gik, has already become widely popular all over Europe. Currently, it is available in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Wondering how it gets that electric blue tone? According to Gik’s website, the color is derived from a combination of organic pigments found in both white and red grapes, called indigo and anthocyanin. Gik’s founders suggest pairing the sweet-tasting wine with nachos, pasta carbonara, or sushi. Sounds good to us.
