We talk a lot about how much Americans love beer, but the fact of the matter is that the whole world loves beer. Today, we celebrate that love with International Beer Day, which takes place every year on the first Friday in August. The only goal is to unite the world in a celebration of beer…what could be better than that?

We challenge you to try a beer from another country today; a beer you’ve never had before. Some may be harder to find, but you might discover that others are just sitting in your local liquor store or brewhouse, waiting for you to drink them.

– Tsingtao (China)

– Saison Dupont (Belgium)

– Redoak Baltic Porter (Australia)

– Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock (Germany)

– Guinness (Ireland)

– Komes Porter (Poland)

– Swan Lake Amber Swan Ale (Japan)

– Maison de Brasseur Thou (France)

– Pilsner Urquell Nefiltrovaný (Czech Republic)

– Unibroue La Fin du Monde (Canada)

– Laurentina Preta (Mozambique)

– ViaEmilia (Italy)

There are so many different international beers that you can find in the U.S., so definitely don’t feel like you need to stick to this list. A lot of the beers we listed have won awards, so we just thought we’d be helpful and point you toward some good stuff. Grab a few different beers from different countries and have fun touring the world.
