OldBayIf someone put a beer in front of you that had Old Bay seasoning listed as one of its main ingredients, would you drink it? All you Maryland residents better get used to it because Flying Dog has partnered with the iconic Chesapeake Bay seasoning to commemorate their 75th anniversary.

Dead Rise Old Bay Summer Ale was dreamed up after six months of working with spice experts to develop the recipe. Take one whiff and you’ll immediately get the Old Bay flavor along with hints of citrus. The ale is busting with citrusy hops and a tart, spicy finish. And as with all Flying Dog concoctions, the artwork was designed by Ralph Steadman and features the signature Maryland Blue Crab.

It’s only a matter of time before we start seeing the 5.6% summer seasonal at your local Maryland crab shack. And you’ll be drinking for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from Dead Rise will be donated to True Blue, an organization that promotes sustainable Blue Crab harvesting.

We’re very intrigued by the Old Bay and beer combo. Any of our Maryland beer lovers try it yet? Let us know what you think.
