Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione has two loves in life: craft beer and music. So it’s no surprise that the Delaware based brewery married his two passions with their special Music Series collection. What’s better than a good brew and tunes?
Working with big names like Pearl Jam and Grateful Dead, the Music Series from Dogfish Head has gained quite the reputation. For their latest venture, the brewery partnered with musician Julianna Barwick to create something hot and spicy: a wasabi infused IPA. Rosabi, as it is appropriately named, is a blend of malt flavors, a little bit of red rice from Julianna’s hometown and wasabi, one of her favorite ingredients to add to anything.
The spiced up IPA will hit shelves on June 1. And you won’t just be getting the bottle. Each package will be complete with a record of four original songs that Julianna recorded. Best part? The songs are inspired by and include sounds from the brewing process. Listening to hops while drinking them? Count us in.
We’ve tasted our fair share of spicy beverages so we’re willing to give Rosabi a shot. Will you pick up a bottle of the wasabi beer?
