You just enjoyed a nice meal. You’re satiated and can’t imagine making room for dessert. Only problem, that sweet craving just won’t subside. Trust me, it’s the story of my life. In the past, I would make room for a slice or a sundae and as a result feel disgustingly full. But now I opt for a dessert cocktail. Just as delicious, not nearly as filling and most importantly it satisfies the craving.

With all the liquor flavors out there, it’s pretty easy for your bartender to assume the role of a baker. Chocolate cake, apple pie, raspberry tart – you name it and I’m sure they can create it.

Here are a few recipes that have caught my attention:

Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

  • 3 parts Godiva White Chocolate liqueur
  • 2 parts Patron XO Café liqueur
  • 1 part Rumpleminze liqueur

Raspberry Truffle

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • ¾ oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • ¾ oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
  • Fresh whipped cream

Chocolatini

  • 1 ¼ oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • ¼ oz Godiva chocolate liqueur
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Key Lime Pie

  • 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • ½ oz Triple Sec
  • 2½ oz Pineapple juice
  • ½ oz lime cordial
  • ½ lime
  • Crushed graham crackers for rimming
