Corvus Coffee Roasters, based in Denver, CO, just released a special edition roast of whiskey barrel aged cold brew coffee. Taking a lesson from our ancestors, Corvus stored green coffee beans in Laws’ Four Grain Bourbon oak barrels for six to eight weeks to reveal the power of two. Taking this year’s foodie trend of cold brew one step further, Whole Foods acted quickly to make sure it’s available on their shelves in Denver and Boulder.
Without the sting of alcohol, the cold brew is described to have the essence of an expertly crafted bourbon with the touch of caramel, oak, vanilla, and most importantly, chocolate. Now, the real question is, could there be a better start to the day?
