Today marks the momentous moment Vodka became a mainstream spirit – it is, after all, Vodka Day, and we should all be celebrating appropriately. Yes, we know it’s a Sunday and you’re probably not trying to go out and rage all night, but that doesn’t mean you can’t switch out your stereotypical Sunday Night Football Bud Light for one of these traditional vodka cocktails:
Cosmopolitan: (1 serving)
- Ice
- 1 ½ oz. citrus flavored vodka
- ½ oz. triple sec
- ½ oz. cranberry juice
- ¼ oz. lime juice
- orange twist
In an ice filled cocktail shaker, mix vodka, triple sec, cranberry and lime juice. Shake well then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange twist.

Lemon Drop Martini: (1 serving)
- 1 ½ oz. vodka
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ¼ oz. simple syrup
- lemon twist for garnish
In an ice filled cocktail shaker, pour in all ingredients and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass and then garnish with a lemon twist.

Trouble Maker: (1 serving)
- 4 slices cucumber
- 2 strawberries
- 1 ½ oz. vodka
- 1 oz. Bonal
- ¾ oz. simple syrup
- ¾ oz. lime juice
- seltzer
Muddle cucumber and strawberries. Shake together vodka, Bonal, simple syrup, and lime juice. Pour over a tall glass and top with seltzer.
