giphy-1Today is the day of all days: Potato Chip Day. On this blessed 14th day of March, we look back and ponder on all of the perfect styles and flavors of this scrumptious snack. Ruffled, Wavy, kettle cooked – there’s a crunchy consistency for everyone. And talk about a variety of titillating tastes. All things aside, today we’re sticking with the OG salted potato chip to create this crave-worthy cocktail:

Oil and Vinegar Potato Chip Cocktail: (serves 1)

  • 1 teaspoon balsamic glaze
  • 2 oz. good quality vodka, chilled
  • 1 ½ tsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 potato chips, crushed, for garnish
  • 1 whole potato chip, for garnish

On a small plate, crush the potato chips. Wet the rim of a martini glass and dip it in the crushed chips to decorate the edge of the glass. Gently pour the balsamic glaze into the bottom of the cup (try not to drip down the sides). Pour the vodka on top of the glaze, and then add the olive oil on top. Garnish with a single potato chip and serve.
