Beets are slowly staining their way onto cocktail menus everywhere. While their look on a plate can be less than appealing, they do bring an added level of fun when mixed in a glass (or maybe that’s just the alcohol talking). There’s more to beets than color, though. They’re also aphrodisiacs and include tons of vitamins and minerals. So pour your date a homemade drink and let the power of the beets bring you together:
Phat Beetz Cocktail from The Farm:
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Tangeray Rangpur
1 oz. Domaine de Canton Ginger Liquor
2 oz. Pickled Beet Puree
.5 oz Lime Juice
Sparkling Water
Lemon Twist
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients except soda water and lemon twist, do not strain
Serve in a highball glass, float with sparkling water
Garnish with lemon twist
Ingredients:
8 oz. Organic Beet Juice
8 oz. High Quality Tequila
4 oz. Lime Juice
2 oz. Agave Nectar
Instructions:
Rim serving glasses with salt
Pour ingredients into a shaker with ice
Shake
Pour into glasses and garnish with lime
