As our fantasy football seasons come to an end, many of us are turning our thoughts toward the end of real football for this season – Super Bowl XLVII. The big event will be on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans, and while we don’t know which two teams will be playing yet, we do know that we reallllllly want to go. Why? Five words for you:
Beer and football themed hotel.
The wonderful folks at Bud Light will be transforming a two-hundred room hotel in Downtown New Orleans into a magical safe haven for beer and football lovers who are in town for the Super Bowl. From January 31 to February 3, beer enthusiasts will be able to sleep on Bud Light pillows, wash their hair with Bud Light shampoo and dry their hands with Bud Light towels.
On the entertainment side of things, they will also be converting an adjacent parking lot into a 34,000 square foot concert tent for parties and events during the week. Their annual EA SPORTS Madden Bowl will also return, bringing together NFL players and celebrities to compete against each other while playing the latest edition of Madden NFL. Past winners include Drew Brees, Tim Tebow and Maurice Jones-Drew, so there might be some celebrity-sightings.
We know this will be crazy exclusive, and probably impossible to get into, but Bud Light is offering a couple opportunities to win a stay at the hotel. The first chance you have is to become the official Bud Light Hotel Facebook Correspondent. You have to submit a video to the Bud Light Facebook page and fans will “like” their favorite videos. The winner gets paid and gets to appear in a bunch of videos taped at the Bud Light Hotel. The second chance you have is to win a trip for four people to the hotel and the Super Bowl – just enter through the special tab on the Bud Light Facebook page.
