Do you ever find yourself getting bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to walk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:

Sin Cider: Made 100% freshly pressed from New York apples, Original Sin Cider entered the CANNED cider market yesterday with release of Original Sin Extra Dry Cider. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the new can line will be available starting January 10th in select states (Washington DC, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Florida, and North Carolina).  You can bet your apple bottom this canned cider is here to stay.

Yellowstone Bourbon: Limestone Branch Distillery is on track to hit the market with Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon this month. The well-rounded bourbon will start with a spicy rye taste, round out with caramel notes and finish with a rich brown, sugar. Available in a 750ml bottle with a commemorative tube, the bourbon is crafted using 4 to 7-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon at 93 proof.

Wallace Brewing Company: The Silver Valley’s craft brewer announced the release of its first spirit and wood infused ale, Rum Vito, on Monday. With a base of a Strong Ale, the medium-plus toasted oak is soaked in spiced rum bringing out a vanilla flavor and subtle notes of caramel and mocha. Honoring its roots and Wallace Brewing’s Idaho silver mining, 1,000 of the new bottles have been dipped in a silver sparkle wax– added plus is the special holiday twinkle!

Woodland Critters: Discretion Brewing is shaking things up with a new territory of surprising flavors. The series, Woodland Critters, which will focus on barrel-aged sour ales, utilizes a mix culture of pediococcus, lactobacillus, brettanomyces, and saccharomyces. Say what? Essentially, the brewers add these critters to eat away on the remaining sugars in the beer resulting in a beer of wine-like acidity, notes of plum, toffee, vanilla and dates. Discretion will donate $2.00 for every bottle produced to work towards preserving local lands and critters. So have a drink and give back, too!

Austin Cocktails:  The family-owned company out of Austin, Texas is expanding their line in response to a growing demand for craft cocktails and increasing popularity. The new small-batch, bottle cocktails include Fred’s Ruby Red Cocktail, made with 5x-distilled vodka, natural Ruby Red grapefruit, bright lime and a hint of crisp mint, and Bergamot Orange Margarita, made with clean triple sec, natural lime, and organic agave. Find this dynamic duo with updated labels in Texas, California, Colorado and New York now.
