Do you ever find yourself getting bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to walk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:
Jim Beam & Snapchat: Jim Beam is making history in marketing efforts as the first whiskey brand to partner with Snapchat. While you wouldn’t know unless you are of legal age (or lied to Facebook about how old you are), Jim Beam is appearing throughout various Snapchat Live Stories. The branded content will run through the end of October in effort to support Jim Beam’s promotion of its latest flavored whiskey, Jim Beam Apple.
Oregon Pear Brandy: Big Bottom Distilling, the geniuses that produced the award-winning Big Bottom Small Batch whiskey and gin, are expanding their line of spirits again with Oregon Pear Brandy. Made from a blend of Asian pears–grown and harvested locally from the Willamette Valley– the earthy and sweet brandy is proofed at 80 and retails in Oregon at $44.95 for a 750 ml bottle. This brandy will take you gracefully from summer to fall where you’ll meet another new release, Oregon Apple Brandy.
Budweiser & Metallica: Budweiser and veteran metal band, Metallica, make a fierce duo for an “Édition Limitée” in Canada. The renowned rock band is one of Québec’s favorites and is expecting to bring fans across the country for a September 16th show where they can sip a Budweiser brew infused with musical vibrations. The all black can with signature lightning bolt will appear on shelves in Quebec for a limited time starting on September 28th.
Ludlow’s Cocktail Jelly Shots: Ludlow’s Cocktail Company is changing the game with pre-made craft cocktail jelly shots. The 5-pack for $10.99 is available in select Spec’s retail locations as well as wholesale bars and restaurants throughout Texas. The easy, clean, innovative, and surprisingly all-natural ingredient based shots are here just in time for tailgate season. But if the convenience of pre-made cocktail shots didn’t have you already, the 5 unique flavors will. Try Ludlow’s Jelly shots in Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, Meyer Lemon Drop, Planter’s Punch, and Fresh Lime Margarita.
Bowmore Mizunara Cask Finish: This unique scotch malt whisky lay rest in Mizunara oak casks while it trekked all the way from Japan to Islay. But now that the final product has arrived in America–as of September 1st– we feel its finally found its home. This rare masterpiece is the product of merging skills of impressive distilling nations and combines the best of the east and the west. The spicy whisky sips of sweet vanilla, exotic mango, and honey rose blossom with the savory favors of floral spice and a fragrant smoke.
