Just when you thought the liquor industry’s themed beverages couldn’t get any crazier, they drop this sparkly bomb. Two words: Unicorn Tears. Yup, you read that right, the world now has a beverage inspired by a mythical creature. Scheduled for release this Friday, this gin-based drink will only be available to fairytale lovers in the UK. Curse this unicorn shortage we’re currently experiencing in the States.
This rare beverage was dreamed up by Firebox, a team of British gadget vendors who clearly have a passion for fairytales and booze. When it comes down to the flavor profile, Firebox describes the tears to taste like a “fragrant blend of juniper, curaco orange and crisp lemon, with hints of mint and lemongrass” – aka exactly what you’d expect my little pony’s cousin’s tears to taste like. The sweet gin also LOOKS just like you would expect unicorn tears to, with real edible silver pieces floating and shining throughout the bottle.
Now there are no promises that no unicorns weren’t harmed during the making of this gin, so vegans beware before trying one of these cocktails recommended by the creators/unicorn hunters.
