Drinking is great, but sometimes you have to eat too. For such instances we are lucky enough to have recipes that let us incorporate our drink of choice into our dish. Here are a few of our favorites:

Beer: Drunk Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

1 Egg

¾ Cup Beer

1/3 Cup Flour

¼ Tsp. Cayenne Pepper

2 Tbsp. Butter

6 Slices of Pre-Cooked Bacon

4 Slices Bread

4 Slices Cheese

Mix together egg, beer, flour, and pepper until smooth. Melt butter in skillet. Dip one side of each slice of bread into the batter then place on the skillet. Top each with 1 slice of cheese, 3 slices of bacon, a second slice of cheese, and another slice of bread. Cook for 3-ish minutes on each side until golden. Enjoy. Full recipe here.

Wine: Salmon with White Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

Skinless Salmon

Salt and Pepper

1 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter

2 Tsp. Flour

1 Cup White Wine

1 Tbsp. Chopped Chives

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Put salmon on a baking sheet and season with salt. Roast for about 15 minutes. In saucepan, melt butter then add in flour. Cook and whisk for one minute. Add wine and bring to boil. Reduce to simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes. Stir in chives then season with salt and pepper. Place salmon on plate and top with sauce. Full recipe here.

Whiskey: Bourbon Meatballs

1 lb Frozen Meatballs

½ Cup Ketchup

½ Cup Brown Sugar

¼ Cup Bourbon Whiskey

1 Tsp. Lemon Juice

1 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Combine all but meatballs in a bowl and mix. Put meatballs into crock pot, pouring sauce on top. Mix together so all meatballs are coated. Heat on high for about an hour until meatballs are thawed. Keep on low to serve. Full recipe here.
