FirestoneStickeeMonkee

Back in 2010, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. released their highly coveted Stickee Monkee Belgian ale. It was one of those beers that we would have considered walking to California to get seeing as it was only available on tap at the brewery. And now, four long years later, Firestone is putting Stickee Monkee in bottles.

As if the name isn’t awesome enough, Stickee Monkee has a recipe that makes it irresistible to any craft beer lover. A twist on a traditional Belgian Quadrupel, the brew is made with Belgian candy sugar and then aged in Bourbon barrels from some of our favorites: Woodford Reserve, Elijah Craig and Four Roses. The limited edition brew is part of Firestone’s Proprietor’s Vintage Series, which offers special release, barrel-aged brews.

It’s not going to be easy to find Stickee Monkee though. The release has been limited to 3,500 cases available in select markets at $16.99 for a 22 oz. bottle. A pretty penny but this beer is worth it.
